Magsy Bag

Bag

A user-centered stroller bag that balances functionality, comfort and equality – developed end-to-end by Husarska Design Studio.

Magsy is a stroller bag designed with active, modern parents in mind. It’s a versatile solution that responds to everyday challenges of caregiving — from walks and errands to longer trips and workdays. What makes it unique is not just the range of features, but the fact that it doesn’t reinforce gender stereotypes. With its clean, minimalist look and thoughtful detailing, Magsy supports every parent — regardless of gender — in feeling confident and prepared.

The concept behind Magsy grew from a simple but powerful observation: most parenting bags are either overly feminine or infantilized, often making especially fathers feel uncomfortable. Our goal was to design a product that is inclusive, neutral, and modern — without compromising function.

At the heart of the process was Design Thinking, which guided every step of development. We focused on building real value for the user, prioritizing utility, comfort, and flexibility. The idea of transforming the bag into a backpack in seconds became a cornerstone of the concept — enabling caregivers to hold their child while staying hands-free and mobile.

The design process was coordinated by Husarska Design Studio from start to finish — from initial sketches and UX research, through prototyping and pattern cutting, to final production oversight.

We worked closely with mothers and fathers, observing their routines and gathering insights through interviews and testing. This deep empathy allowed us to identify pain points and translate them into practical features:

  • Clear pocket layouts and compartments for parenting essentials

  • External elastic holders for bottles or jackets

  • Clip-on pouch for valuables

  • Integrated, easy-to-clean changing pad

  • Strap system that adapts to hand, shoulder, stroller or backpack use

Close cooperation with sewing factories and suppliers ensured the highest quality finishes and durability. The aluminum logo badge, minimalist detailing and neutral color palette reflect both brand values and timeless style.

The final bag is compact yet spacious, robust yet soft, elegant yet utilitarian. Magsy can be used in four different ways — handheld, on the shoulder, on the back, or attached to any stroller. It includes a range of thoughtful accessories and smart internal organization.

We also designed the Magsy brand identity, including a logo symbolizing love, care and trust. The “M”-shaped heart integrates the brand name with its core message of balanced, equal parenting. This signature mark appears not only on the bag and accessories, but also on zipper pulls and silicone fasteners.

Magsy was warmly received by parents looking for something practical, stylish and inclusive. It has been recognized by industry experts as a rare example of functional baby gear with minimalist aesthetics, made to suit both men and women.

What parents valued most were the bag’s discreet design, clear organization, convertible form, and comfort. Thanks to its neutral appearance, working parents could confidently wear it at the office, during business travel, or on city walks.

This project reaffirmed our belief that Design Thinking, empathy, and cross-disciplinary collaboration lead to the best results. Working hand in hand with users, suppliers, and producers allowed us to deliver not just a product — but a well-researched, precisely crafted solution.

We are proud of the fact that Husarska Design Studio oversaw the project at every stage: from strategy and user insights, through prototyping and logo development, to production quality control and brand implementation. That’s what allowed us to create something truly complete and lasting.

Magsy is more than a parenting bag — it’s a reliable, adaptable companion for modern families. By combining simplicity with deep usability, it helps parents reclaim ease and dignity in everyday caregiving.

It’s also a reflection of what Husarska Design Studio stands for: human-centered design that solves real problems and creates lasting value.
