Expert 8 is a revolutionary device designed for lymphatic drainage treatments, created by Design Studio Husarska in collaboration with CarePump. Intended for medical professionals, the project's primary objective was to build an inclusive device that is both user-friendly and accessible to the visually impaired. The development was completed over two years, aiming to meet the specific needs of physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
The project was inspired by a recognition of the difficulties faced by visually impaired professionals in the medical and rehabilitation sectors. The initial concept was guided by the principles of inclusive design, aiming to create a device that meets the needs of all users, regardless of physical abilities. The collaboration with the Polish Lymphological Society also shaped the project, leading to the development of a unique therapeutic program.
The design process involved extensive research and ideation, with a strong emphasis on usability for the visually impaired. Numerous prototypes were created and tested to ensure optimal placement of all internal elements for efficiency during assembly, servicing, and operation. The process also involved the development of a voice-activated interface, high-contrast screens, and tactile-friendly details.
The Expert 8 project embodies Husarska Design Studio's dedication to innovative, user-centric design. Its inclusive features and overall success underscore the studio's mission to design products that meet the needs of all users, regardless of physical abilities.
